Londoner’s Diary: Blow-Up

Michael Ellis

Maryon Park, Woolwich: steps from the tennis courts up to the top of the mound and a secluded patch of grass familiar to fans of Michelangelo Antonioni’s 1966 film Blow-Up. The location resonates through the film, with David Hemmings, camera in hand, pursuing a troubled Vanessa Redgrave through this eerie, whispering park.
